Who's it for?
Primary and Middle School History Teachers
Description
This course will focus on ways in which we can enrich the learning of history to make it facinating and fun for all children. It will consider how we can make learning history a meaningful experience for children by connecting the study of the past to their own lives and identities. There will be a particular focus on developing independant enquiry and on using historical sources in engaging and creative ways. The course will provide ideas for using the rich resources of the newly opened Somerset Heritage Centre and the soon to open Somerset Museum.
